Susan was a Rocky girl, but has resided in Yeppoon for the last twelve years.

She has been drawing for over ten years, which began in London at evening classes. Susan completed a Certificate Course in Visual Art & Design with the TAFE College in Rockhampton in 1992 on her return from living in the UK.

In her paintings, she employs mixed media using paint, pastel and collage, but pastels are the love of her life. Subject matter in the past has been still life which is still the favourite, but in the past few years she has worked on themes and explored those in various ways.

In 1993 she began needlepoint tapestry as an extension of drawing. She liked the idea that tapestry could be functional as well as decorative and the subject could really be anything.

Susan was involved in a Joint Exhibition in September 2003 at The Mill Gallery showing paintings and tapestry. She will be part of another Exhibition in October 2004 with tapestry only.
